Ja Kin Ya Bon is a cozy jazz bar with live band that offers the simple but delicious menu created by our owner. Our specialties are Na Nua Jai Sua pizza, Steve’s burger and spicy fried pork tender.

Why ‘Ja Kin Ya Bon’ ?
People often ask me and my wife, Khun Pat, this question and our answer is: from my experience with the two branches of Steve Café and Cuisine restaurant, we learn that in today social media world, people often complain about a lot of things. So coming to eat at our restaurant should be the time that they let go everything – your bad day, your complaints and just feel happy and enjoy the food in front of you. For Ja Kin Ya Bon, we only select the best specially created menu in fusion and international styles - a combination of Japanese, Thai, European food to make our customers’ time here worthwhile.

Why a jazz bar ?
I appreciate all kind of music but, I need to admit, as I am getting older, our group of friends and I prefer finding a nice place to sit down, enjoy the food and the atmosphere and just to have a good conversation. Jazz bar is then our choice where people can come listen to pop jazz music and enjoy the drink that comes in a variety of brands – wine, beer, cocktail and whiskey. Also, since this is a 3-piece jazz band, our neighbor can sleep at night without too much of nuisance (smile).

I have only 2 years to operate this jazz bar because in 2 years from now, this piece of land will become MRT construction area. So people always ask me why investing in this restaurant. What I think is to make the best out of it. This is the best location that our customers can come and admire the beautiful sight of Golden Mount (Chedi Phukaothong) and the Metallic Castle at night. The view is just amazing. If the customers enjoy the place and feel happy, even if we only had one year to go, it serves my purpose.

ร้าน จะกินอย่าบ่น เป็น แจ็สบาร์ ที่เน้นเครื่องดื่ม แต่เสริฟอาหารง่ายๆในสไตล์ของเราเอง โดยเมนูอาหารทั้งหมดคิดโดยคุณสตีฟเอง เช่น พิชซ่าหน้าเนื้อใจเสือ สตีฟเบอร์เกอร์ หรือ คั่วกลิ้งหมูทอด พร้อมมีวงแจ็สเล็กๆเล่นสดทุกวัน

ทำไมถึงทำร้านชื่อนี้?
หลายคนถามผมกับคุณแพท ผมตอบว่าเพราะจากการที่เราทำร้านอาหารไทยสตีฟ คาเฟ่ แอนด์ ครุยซีน มาสองร้าน ได้ยินได้ฟังได้รับรู้จากช่องทางของโลก Social network พูดนั้นบ่นนี้ซึ่งจริง ๆ แล้วผมเคยบอกกล่าวกับหลาย ๆ คนเสมอว่า “ช่วงเวลาที่มีความสุขคือช่วงเวลาการทานอาหาร ฉะนั้นอย่าเยอะเลยให้ปล่อยวางทุกอย่างแล้วมีความสุขกับการกินอาหารเถอะ รวมถึงเหตุผลที่สองคือร้านนี้อาหารจะเป็นแบบง่าย ๆ ออกแบบและคิดโดยผมเองทั้งหมดซึ่งร้านนี้ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นอาหารง่าย ๆ สไตล์ฟิวชั่นผสมผสานกันทั้ง ไทย,ญี่ปุ่น,ยุโรป นั้นคือที่มาของชื่อร้าน

แล้วทำไมถึงมาเป็น Jazz Bar
โดยส่วนตัวผมชอบฟังเพลงทุกแนวเพียงแต่ว่าพออายุมากขึ้นก็ยืนเต้นไม่ไหวเพราะปวดหัวเข่าเลยชอบฟังเพลงง่าย ๆ เบาๆและนั่งดื่มไปคุยไปกับเพื่อนมากกว่าสุดท้ายก็มาเลือกร้านที่เป็นแนวเพลง PoP Jazz เบา ๆ ที่สำคัญจะได้ไม่หนวกหูเพื่อนบ้านด้วยเพราะเป็นวง Jazz เล็ก ๆ 3 ชิ้น ผมว่า Chill ดีน่ะก็เลยเลือกเปิด Bar แนวนี้พร้อมทั้งเน้นเครื่องดื่มเป็นไวน์,ค็อกเทล ต่าง ๆ วิสกี้,เบียร์ หลากหลายยี่ห้อ

ซึ่งร้านนี้ผมมีเวลาแค่ 2 ปีกว่าเพราะร้านอยู่ในแนวเวนคืนทำสถานีรถไฟใต้ดิน หลายคนบอกแล้วผมจะลงทุนทำทำไมหล่ะแค่ 2 ปีกว่าผมคิดและตอบว่าการทำร้านถ้าเราคิดว่าตั้งใจทำทำให้ดีทำให้ลูกค้าเข้ามาแล้วมีความสุขในสิ่งที่เราตั้งใจทำให้เขาแค่ปีเดียวก็คุ้มค่ากับเราแล้ว
